About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Senior Bookkeeper with strong compliance skills and a passion for building client relationships. This role is perfect for someone ready to step up – moving away from day-to-day processing to managing client relationships, overseeing the work of other bookkeepers, and delivering strategic bookkeeping and advisory services that help clients make better business decisions.

The position is part time to full time, offering flexibility to suit the right candidate’s needs.You may already be a registered BAS Agent or well on your way to becoming one. To be eligible, you’ll need a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and/or Accounting (or equivalent) and relevant experience. For the right candidate, we’ll support you to achieve your BAS Agent registration as part of your professional development.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee compliance activities for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.

Review and quality-check bookkeeping and payroll completed by our team.

Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication.

Mentor and guide bookkeepers to deliver consistent, high-quality work.

Support onboarding of new clients and ensure process adherence across the team.

Collaborate with the leadership team to improve workflows and client experience.

Key Requirements

Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and/or Accounting (essential).

BAS Agent registration or eligibility to become registered (1,000 hours of relevant experience).

Proficiency in Xero and confidence managing multiple client files.

Strong organisational skills and a process-driven approach.

Excellent communicator, comfortable liaising with clients and leading others.

Desire to step into a more strategic, oversight-focused role.

Bonus Points If You Have

Experience using Karbon, Dext , and Microsoft.

A flair for leadership and an interest in team mentoring or training.
