Your Role
We are hiring an elite Business Development Manager – Cybersecurity for Education & Training with proven experience selling cybersecurity, IT, learning management systems (e.g. Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard), student management systems (e.g. Synergetic, TASS, Compass, Civica), education ERP platforms, e-signature solutions (e.g. DocuSign, Adobe Sign), cloud and digital transformation solutions, or other enterprise services into the education and training sector in Victoria.
This is a full-cycle B2B role with complete ownership across prospecting, stakeholder engagement, solution development, commercial structuring, and deal closure. You must understand how schools, universities, and training providers buy, how leadership teams and boards make decisions, and how to position cybersecurity in the context of compliance, privacy, and safeguarding student data.
Mandatory Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
You must have sold services into mid-sized and large education or training organisations across Victoria.
You must have existing relationships with Principals, Vice-Chancellors, Chief Operating Officers, Heads of IT, or other senior decision-makers within the education and training sector.
Experience in cybersecurity, risk, compliance, IT, or education technology sales is strongly preferred.
Applications that do not meet these minimum requirements will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Own the entire sales cycle from prospecting to close within the education and training vertical.
Leverage your existing senior network to create warm introductions and drive high-velocity deal flow.
Lead structured discovery meetings with Principals, Vice-Chancellors, COOs, CFOs, and Heads of IT/Risk.
Collaborate with internal consultants and technical SMEs to design tailored offerings for education and training providers.
Guide clients through scope, compliance requirements, delivery structure, and commercial terms.
Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene and report metrics directly to the CEO.
What You Bring
Minimum 5+ years in education sector sales, with exposure to schools, universities, or training providers required.
Experience closing $100K+ consulting, IT, or cybersecurity service deals.
Strong understanding of education and training sector structures, decision-making cycles, and data privacy obligations.
Confident in discussing data security, ISO 27001, Essential Eight, and governance frameworks.
Executive presence, polished communication, and deep credibility with senior education sector decision-makers.
High level of personal accountability and operational discipline.
