MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the Warehouse Supervisor with the full operation of the Warehouse utilising our Warehouse Management Software.

Lead by example with safe work standards to support the Stores Assistants & Materials Preparation staff in the carrying out of their set tasks.

In the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor, be able to temporarily assume the responsibilities and oversight of the warehouse operation.

Raising of purchase orders from multiple suppliers, using stock re-order reports and where required liaise with suppliers and updating supplier details.

Follow up and advise of goods inwards and outwards timing. Updating schedule in the WMS.

Liaison with the Service, Design and Manufacturing Departments is required to meet time and specification requirements of tasks.

Receipt of goods inwards

Checking and reporting any damage

Checking supply and costing accuracy and processing goods inwards

Accurate inventory counting and reporting/recording into the WMS, including identification of stock and labelling for “put away”

Processing of documentation to Accounts Dept

Safe and quick placement of stock in its correct area once inventory check is complete

Despatch of goods

Supervision to ensure accurate identification and picking of stock

Ensure preparatory work completed on time

Meet despatch times in line with customer expectations

Package and protect stock from damage

Compilation of picks for processing and booking of transport

Confirm with customer contact at site prior to despatch

Support and administer pick schedule

Assist warehouse team with open/close of warehouse back dock as required
