About the Role

You will be part of a dedicated care team supporting young children with complex health and daily living needs. Duties include:

Providing tailored personal care and complex support/interventions

Assisting with daily living activities, PEG/enteral feeding, medication administration, seizure management and airway management (including suctioning)

Supporting mobility, positioning, and comfort

Working collaboratively with the family, nursing staff, other support workers and allied health providers

Following care plans, behaviour support plans, and clinical guidelines/escalation plans

Maintaining accurate documentation and incident reporting

Participating in early mornings, evenings, weekends, and active/inactive overnight shifts

What We’re Looking For

Compassion, patience, and resilience

Experience or willingness to learn paediatric complex care, including airway management and enteral feeding

Ability to work within structured care plans and follow medical directives

Understanding of working with participants who have a Behaviour Support Plan

Professional boundaries and commitment to providing safe, respectful care

Essential Requirements

Based in or near the Central Coast/Gosford region

Current Driver’s Licence & reliable transport

NDIS Worker Screening Check

Working With Children Check

Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
