Leeda Projects is seeking an experienced Shop Drawer / Drafter to join our team in the manufacture of joinery in the construction and fit-out industry. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for modelling joinery components and assemblies in preparation for manufacture.

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications to derive design intent

Model joinery components and assemblies in preparation for manufacture and installation

Draft, document and submit shop drawings for design and production approvals

Generate auxiliary fabrication CAD drawings for glass, upholstery, stone, metalwork or other necessary components to facilitate full completion of manufactured items

Generate production lists and CNC files for material processing and construction

Take part in production meetings and contribute

Collaborate with management, project and production teams to ensure work is completed on time and to the highest standard

Stay current with industry advancements to improve productivity and efficiency

Ensure all documented drawings and machining output are accurate and in accordance with industry standards

Maintain and update records of drawings, production information and schedules

Requirements:

Proven experience within shopfitting/joinery manufacture

Sound knowledge of construction techniques and materials

Experience with CAD/CAM software is essential, specifically SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD

Experience with SWOOD (CAM plug-in for SOLIDWORKS) is highly favourable

Ability to interpret technical drawings and successfully model design intent

Be exceptionally attentive to detail and solve problems

Commitment to producing high-quality work

Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced production environment

Work independently and as part of the wider team

Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively

Trade qualification in joinery, cabinet making or a related field is welcome
