Shop Manager (Sangweech)

Salary: $76,515 plus superannuation

This isn’t just another sandwich shop. This is sangweeches the way they’re meant to be – crusty, generous, made with love, and always served with a smile. We’re bringing back the buzz, the banter, and that warm Italian hospitalità – and we’re looking for a Shop Manager to help us lead the way.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Decide on the product mix, stock levels, and service standards to keep our sangweeches fresh, consistent, and irresistible.

Manage purchasing and supplier relationships, set prices, and ensure our displays and shelves are always stocked with the good stuff.

Plan and deliver marketing initiatives to promote our sangweeches, catering services, and in-store specials.

Serve customers directly, offering advice on menu items and creating a warm, welcoming experience.

Maintain accurate records of stock levels, sales, and financial transactions.

Prepare and manage budgets to ensure the shop runs profitably without compromising quality.

Recruit, train, roster, and supervise staff to build a motivated, service-focused team.

Ensure compliance with food safety, occupational health and safety, and all relevant regulations.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience managing a shop, café, deli, or similar fast-paced retail/hospitality business.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

Excellent organisational and stock management skills.

Sound understanding of budgeting, cost control, and sales reporting.

Confidence in marketing and promoting products to attract and retain customers.

Passion for great food, friendly service, and a clean, well-presented shop.
