Golden Age Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Mid-Senior Level Architectural Drafter (Specialising in Residential Prefabricated Homes & Detailed Documentation) to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in drafting and design, experience with architectural plans, and a deep understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction processes.

As part of a collaborative team, you will work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to create detailed, accurate, and high-quality drawings for various architectural projects.

Skills Required

Background & Experience

Qualification in Architectural Drafting, Building Design, or equivalent (Diploma or higher), or industry-recognized certification.

5+ years in residential working drawing documentation and/or 3+ years in residential construction contract administration, with a hands-on experience in end-to-end delivery of standalone/townhouse projects.

Prefab/Modular Housing Experience: Involvement in prefabricated residential projects (e.g., light gauge steel/timber systems) for design detailing or construction coordination is preferred.

2. Technical Expertise

DFMA (Design for Manufacturing & Assembly): Proven ability to optimise designs for off-site fabrication, standardization, and on-site assembly efficiency.

NCC Compliance: In-depth knowledge of NCC Volume 2 (Residential) requirements, including fire safety, energy efficiency, and accessibility.

Prefab Shop Drawing & Detailing:

- Produce manufacturing-ready drawings (e.g., light steel framing layouts, timber truss connections, bracket detailing).

- Review subcontractor/Supplier drawings to ensure alignment with BIM models, NCC, and contract specifications.

3D Modeling & 2D Detailing:

- Advanced Revit skills for prefab 3D modeling and AS 1100-compliant 2D documentation (plans, sections, details).

3. Software Proficiency

Revit Expert

3D: Prefab component libraries, automated BOM generation, clash detection.

2D: Precision in construction details (foundation-wall interfaces, roofing, panel joints).

Complementary Tools: AutoCAD (2D refinement), Bluebeam (markup/coordination).

Advantage: Experience with prefab-specific plugins (e.g., StrucSoft MWF, Revit Prefab Toolkit) is preferred but not mandatory.
