We are seeking professional, highly motivated and qualified Project Manager to join our team.

Established in 1981, J&D Contracting is a quality accredited Brisbane based company providing a complete range of building maintenance and disability services for government and private sector clients throughout Queensland.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running, lead from the front, and bring deep construction knowledge and personal accountability to the table.

You’ll be managing projects end-to-end, working closely with our Project Administrators, Site Trades and Sub-Contractors. Your focus will be on meeting program deadlines, driving financial performance, and maintaining high safety and quality standards.

This role is split between site and office (Brendale and Acacia Ridge), and requires someone who thrives in fast-paced, hands-on environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Own and deliver multiple construction projects from inception to handover

Manage project teams including Site Trades, Sub-Contractors, and Project Administrators

Maintain strict control of timelines, budgets, and quality outcomes

Champion our systems (especially simPRO) to ensure streamlined delivery

Build strong, respectful relationships with clients, sub-contractors, suppliers and team members

Enforce and uphold OHS, quality, and environmental compliance across all projects

Ensure work aligns with ISO and internal operational standards

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 5+ years’ experience managing commercial construction projects

Certified in Project Management

Cert IV in Building Construction (Preferred)

QBCC Site Supervisor Licence (Minimum)

Strong leadership and communication skills — you lead by example

Proven ability to drive outcomes independently while supporting a team

Proficiency in simPRO or similar software, MS Project, and WHS systems

Ability to manage multiple jobs concurrently under pressure

A proactive, no-nonsense approach with a focus on results

Site-based experience is valued
