About the Role

Raft Building Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our expanding team in Brisbane, Queensland. This pivotal role focuses on driving new business through strategic tendering and accurate estimating, while overseeing the successful delivery of high-quality construction projects. Based in Brisbane, this full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to lead innovative commercial projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to exceptional standards.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead Tendering and Estimating: Spearhead the preparation of competitive tenders and precise cost estimates to secure new business opportunities, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company objectives.

Develop Comprehensive Project Plans: Create and implement detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules to drive the successful completion of construction projects.

Engage Stakeholders: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, project teams, and senior management to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Coordinate Cross-Functional Teams: Manage and motivate diverse teams, including tradespeople, subcontractors, architects, and consultants, fostering collaboration to achieve project goals.

Monitor and Mitigate Risks: Proactively track project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective solutions to maintain project timelines and budgets.

Ensure Compliance and Quality: Uphold adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, while championing quality assurance and control processes.

Drive Process Improvement: Contribute to refining project management methodologies, leveraging insights from past projects to enhance efficiency and outcomes.

What We're Looking For

Extensive Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with at least 2 years focused on tendering, estimating, and securing new business.

Proven Success: A strong track record of delivering complex construction projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.

Strategic Tendering Skills: Expertise in preparing winning tenders and accurate cost estimates, with a keen understanding of market trends and client needs.

Exceptional Leadership: Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.

Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality management systems, paired with proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar).

Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable.

Innovative Mindset: A passion for driving innovation, sustainability, and excellence in construction project delivery.

Must have valid Australian work rights

Current Australian driver's licence required
