About the role
As the Recreation and Trails Project Support Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of recreation and trail projects that enhance active living across the Yarra Ranges community. You’ll assist Project Managers with everything from funding applications and milestone reporting to stakeholder engagement and strategic documentation, ensuring projects are delivered smoothly and aligned with community needs. This dynamic role also involves liaising with internal teams, external partners, and the community to keep projects on track and communication flowing.
• This is a full-time temporary position until March 2027 (secondment backfill) (38 hours per week).
• This is a Band 5 role with a salary range between $78,146 and $90,979 per annum, plus superannuation. Benefits of working with us:

Experience and skills we’re looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Strong organisational skills to support project planning, coordination, and timely delivery.
• Experience preparing funding applications, milestone reports, and strategic documentation.
• Attention to detail to ensure project documentation and reporting meets required standards.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders and maintaining clear project updates.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and keeping projects aligned with community needs.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and community members.
