Superb newly created opportunity for senior financial systems specialist with global blue chip organisation. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will take ownership of core finance systems, initially leading a high-profile general ledger replacement program. This will involve working closely with Group Finance, IT, system vendors, and a diverse network of stakeholders.

Post-implementation, you will manage business-as-usual operations for finance systems, drive enhancements to the consolidation platform, and embed best practice processes to ensure data integrity, control, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the general ledger replacement project, including specification, testing, integration and go-live.
• Oversee day-to-day management of core finance systems, including month/year-end processes, control reporting, and master data.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system use, efficiency, and standardisation.
• Coordinate with IT and vendors on patches, upgrades, and new functionality, including testing and implementation.
• Provide user training, troubleshooting, and system documentation.
• Manage vendor relationships and the Finance Systems budget.
• Support audits and compliance requirements relating to systems.

About you

• 10+ years in financial services or a large, complex business, with at least 5 years in dedicated finance systems roles.
• Strong system project delivery and coordination skills.
• Sound understanding of core accounting principles (CA/CPA preferred).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with major GL and planning systems
