The opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists to join our collaborative team as our local financial and ERP systems professional, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our financial and operational management systems.

The role is diverse and practical. You will be the essential link between Finance and Technology, supporting the business in its efforts to optimise Financial and ERP systems, processes and reporting capabilities.

The challenge

Reporting to the CFO, examples of key responsibilities will include:

Implementing the appropriate checks and balances in a multisystem environment

Supporting and ensuring the achievement of financial reporting deadlines

Ensuring the daily performance and dependability of finance systems and BI reporting tools.

Collaborating with Finance, Technology, and other relevant stakeholders to understand system needs and deliver enhancements

Ensuring end-to-end functionality with desired outcomes from the initial transaction through to accurate financial reporting.

Coordinating testing cycles for upgrades, patches, and new releases

Ensuring users have appropriate access and maintaining system security.

Troubleshooting issues and managing escalations with internal stakeholders and external vendors

Creating and maintaining process documentation and training guides

Analysing data and system usage to identify improvement opportunities

This is a ‘roll up your sleeves’ kind of role

No direct reports; must be comfortable working autonomously in an execution-focused position

Prepare testing documentation and support remediation activities.

Implement enhanced controls and processes for accounting operations.

The expertise

We are looking for someone with an accounting background, ideally CA/CPA qualified, who has moved into the Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central systems implementation field, or an Accountant experienced in systems/ERP rollout projects

Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics and Business Central systems, preferably in a multisystem environment that includes SAP

Sound business acumen and understanding of financial systems, accounting procedures, and internal controls

Strong data analysis and spreadsheet (Excel) skills

Working knowledge of financial accounting, financial reporting and period management

High attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across finance and technology teams

A team player with a growth mindset and interest in continuous learning
