Tsunami Japanese restaurant in Mosman Park is looking for experienced Japanese cook. In your position you will be familiar with Japanese cuisine and various disciplines (e.g. sushi, teppanyaki, tempura etc).

Salary: $76600

Position: Full time.

Resident: The applicant must reside in Australia. No international applications please.

The Successful applicant will:

Be able to prepare a wide range of Japanese dishes and present dishes to a high standard

Have excellent knowledge of Japanese food ingredients

Be familiar with sushi, teppanyaki, tempura and other various forms of Japanese cooking.

Good knife skills, able to fillet fish

Be presentable and responsible with full availability to work any required shifts

Have qualifications and experience suited to the role

Have excellent references

Have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety

Perform in a professional Manner

Have a good attitude and be respectful of all

Act as a team member both in your department and across all departments

Selection criteria:

2. Cert IV in Cookery (or equivalent) or higher.

3. At least 3 years' post qualification work experience as cook in a Japanese restaurant, preferably including Australian work experience.

4. In-depth knowledge of Japanese cuisine.

5. Vocational English.

6. Ability to communicate in Japanese advantage but not necessary.
