About the Role
This is not your standard Program Manager role.
You’ll be the strategic force behind our Permanency Support Program (PSP) — leading teams, setting direction, forging powerful partnerships, and lifting outcomes for Aboriginal children and families to new heights. You’ll influence systems, empower your team to excel, and represent a service known for delivering results.
This is an Aboriginal Identified role — a rare opportunity to lead with integrity, cultural strength, and purpose.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Own the day-to-day operations of KARI’s PSP case management team
Set and drive strategic goals that raise the standard across service delivery
Lead a passionate team of Casework Managers and Admin staff — building capability and culture
Manage budgets, reporting and performance with the big picture always in sight
Champion Aboriginal-led solutions in every conversation, at every table
Represent KARI with external partners, government bodies and community stakeholders
Stay sharp on compliance, safety, legislation and accreditation
Requirements
Current NSW Working with Children Check (Paid Worker)
National Criminal Record Check
Valid Australian Driver’s Licence (minimum Provisional 2 or equivalent)
Skills and Experience
Qualified in Social Work or a related field
Proven leadership across teams, systems, and budgets
Deep understanding of PSP and Aboriginal child protection
Strong communicator with a sharp strategic mind
Committed to embedding culture in every decision
