About the role:

Due to continued growth, we are excited to create a new opportunity for a talented & experienced IT Systems Engineer to join our team.

In this broad and impactful role, you will help shape and implement our evolving technology landscape — enhancing our cybersecurity posture, modernising infrastructure, and optimising service delivery. You will be central to coordinating the efforts of our Managed Services and Security providers, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while driving innovation and improvement.

This is a permanent full-time role based in our Pennant Hills Head Office, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week. Reporting to the Head of IT & Cybersecurity, you’ll be part of a small, agile team that values autonomy, continuous learning, and doing work that matters.

You’ll be hands-on with a variety of technologies and be empowered to implement improvements across systems, processes, and security. Key responsibilities:

• Act as a key technical resource for the delivery of IT projects and cyber security initiatives.
• Serve as the primary liaison with our MSP and MSSP, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Proactively manage and escalate service issues, using your technical skills to drive resolution and improvements.
• Implement and support ISO27001-compliant processes and controls.
• Help mature and optimise internal ITSM practices aligned with ITIL standards.
• Assist with internal audits and compliance efforts across IT operations and cyber security.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential:

• Microsoft Azure cloud services
• Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Intune (Windows/Android/iOS)
• General networking and end-user computing support

• Tertiary qualifications in an Information Technology related discipline or equivalent.
• Proven experience in IT support, systems administration, and service coordination roles.
• Strong hands-on skills in:
• Solid understanding of cyber security principles and best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in ITIL-aligned environments.
• Experience implementing or supporting ITSM systems and ISO27001-aligned processes.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and vendor management capabilities.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective time management and organisational abilities.
• A current NSW Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable:

• ITIL Foundation or higher certification.
• ISO27001 Foundation or Practitioner certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview (Data Loss Prevention, Information Protection).
• Background in coordinating services with third-party MSPs.
• Exposure to supporting or integrating SaaS and cloud-based systems.
