About the role
A newly created role suited to an enthusiastic and customer driven AR professional in the Healthcare industry on the Lower North Shore. This role will be leading a large team of staff and reports into the Head of Shared Services whereby you will be responsible for leading the AR function and driving continuous improvement across the function as well as play a key role in an upcoming system integration.

The Responsibilities

• Manage a large team of Collections and Billings Officers daily providing mentorship and guidance for them to fulfill their responsibilities
• Resolve escalations related to internal and external customer account enquiries in an empathetic yet effective manner.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports on accounts receivable status, including aging summaries and collections performance.
• Oversee the banking/allocation function to ensure payments are receipted and allocated correctly
• Review Accounts Receivable function; assist in driving automation & continuous improvement across the function
• Play a key role in system implementation and planning for the AR function, creating SOPs, process Maps
• Liaising with external and government agencies regarding claims

The successful applicant will have:

• Ideally at least 5 years experience leading an AR function and managing large teams of staff. Healthcare industry experience would be an advantage
• High level of technical system skills, working with large ERPs (SAP, Oracle, D365 preferred) as well as advanced level of Microsoft Excel skills
• Previous experience working in finance transformation and change management environments; an ability to identify opportunities for process efficiency and execute accordingly
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders, an ability to manage up & down.
