About You & the Role
We are seeking a capable and hands-on On-Property Services Specialist to support the physical build of our fibre network into homes and businesses. This role focuses on the construction and delivery of lead-in conduit and access pathways from our street infrastructure (e.g. pits or poles) through to the customer’s premises.
Working closely with our In-Home Connection Specialists, you’ll prepare the property for fibre service, excavating, trenching, installing conduit, and performing reinstatement work. Your work is the essential first step in getting our customers connected.
Key Responsibilities
Perform civil works to deliver the fibre lead-in pathway from pit to the customer’s premises.
Install and secure lead-in conduit, including trenching, boring, and wall penetrations where required.
Conduct site assessments and determine optimal routes for conduit installation with minimal disruption.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and reinstatement requirements.
Use tools such as trenchers, cable ploughs, core drills, vacuum excavators, and jackhammers as needed.
Communicate with customers regarding site conditions and basic work expectations.
Document site works, including photos, as-built sketches, and job completion records in specified internal systems.
Support coordination with In-Home Connection team to ensure readiness for fibre activation.
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional worksite at all times.
Requirements of the Role
Previous experience in telecommunications civil works, such as NBN, Telstra, or private fibre lead-ins.
Confidence with hand tools and small machinery for trenching and conduit installation.
Ability to read and interpret site drawings, plans, and locate underground utilities (Dial Before You Dig).
Valid Australian driver’s licence and clean driving record.
White Card (Construction Induction) required.
Traffic Management and First Aid tickets highly desirable.
Practical, problem-solving attitude with a focus on customer impact and quality of work.
Fit and able to work outdoors in varied conditions.
