The City of Cockburn has an exciting future and is committed to delivering outstanding service and achieving our vision of being the best place to be.

Interested in being part of the team that’s shaping the future of one of WA’s fastest-growing communities?

As Cockburn continues to thrive, we’re looking for a Service Lead – CoSafe and Community Safety to join our Sustainable Development and Safety Directorate. In this strategic leadership role, you’ll help deliver a safe and inclusive community by leading key safety services and overseeing the City’s 24/7 CoSafe operations.

About the Role
As the Service Lead – CoSafe and Community Safety, you’ll play a vital leadership role in delivering a safe and connected community. You’ll oversee the City’s 24/7 CoSafe operations, lead the development and implementation of community safety initiatives, and manage key services such as the CCTV network. Working closely with internal teams, WA Police, and community partners, you’ll help reduce crime and enhance both actual and perceived safety across Cockburn.

About You
You’re an approachable and strategic leader with experience managing teams in community safety, law enforcement, or security services. You excel at building strong relationships, resolving complex issues, and driving service improvements. Your ability to lead with integrity and accountability, paired with knowledge of local government operations or relevant legislation, will help you succeed in this critical role.

About the City
As one of the major coastal cities in Western Australia, Cockburn has it all. With a vibrant community of over 125,000 people across 24 suburbs, we’re a place of diverse people, lifestyles and experiences — from pristine beaches and wetlands to world-class recreation facilities.

We’re centrally located in the southern suburbs of Perth, on Whadjuk Nyungar Boodjar (the land of the Whadjuk Nyungar people), between the coast and Jandakot Airport.

The City of Cockburn is a nationally recognised leading local government.
