COMMUNITY EMERGENCY SERVICES MANAGER (CESM)
Your New Role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact across three supportive Wheatbelt communities in regional Western Australia. Based in Narrogin, the CESM will work three days per week with the Shire of Narrogin, and one day each with the Shires of Cuballing and West Arthur.
This joint position, supported under a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES), plays a vital role in bushfire preparedness, community safety programs, volunteer brigade operations, training, and emergency response and recovery efforts across the region.
What you’ll need to succeed
The successful applicant will have:
· Possession of recognised qualification in Training and Assessment.
· Accredited Level 1 Incident Controller- Bushfire Hazard.
· Current 'C' Class licence.
· Demonstrated high level communication, interpersonal, facilitation and training skills.
· Demonstrated ability to develop and undertake prescribed burning and fire management planning processes.
· Well-developed leadership and management skills including financial, human and physical resources.
· Proven experience in and knowledge of the fire and emergency services industry, in particular Bush Fire Brigades and Local Government.

· Salary package range of $156,045 – $166,645 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience, including:
o 12% employer superannuation, with up to an additional 3% matching contribution
o 4 weeks’ annual leave (pro rata for part time)
o 17.5% leave loading (excluding contract and casual staff)

o Housing allowance or subsidised accommodation (negotiable)
o 19-day month (Rostered Day Off arrangement)
