Part time (0.5 FTE) administration assistant providing administrative support for multiple program areas within a local not for profit organisation.
NE Tracks Local Learning and Employment Network (NE Tracks) delivers a range of programs for funding bodies from industry, philanthropics, other not for profits and government departments. Our programs target strategic, sustainable partnerships that improve education & transition outcomes, and build career aspirations for young people in secondary school.
This role provides administrative and basic marketing support across all program areas that the LLEN may have under contract from time to time. Support is also provided for committee of management meeting cycles and the AGM.

Context
NE Tracks Local Learning and Employment Network (NE Tracks) delivers a range of programs for funding bodies from industry, philanthropics, other not for profits and government departments.
Our core program for the Victorian Department of Education (DE) is the School To Work Program, supporting catchment schools from Local Government Areas – Wangaratta, Benalla & Mansfield. This investment as part of the Education State ensures Victorian LLENs continue to support strategies and efforts that align strongly with the Victorian Governments’ Senior Secondary Reforms, with a focus on the commitment to ensure students have clear connections to the world of work and support a strong model of school-work engagement.
NE Tracks is also the Lead LLEN supporting the Ovens Murray VET Cluster comprising schools from the Local Government Areas of Towong, Alpine, Indigo, Wodonga. Wangaratta, Benalla & Mansfield.
NE Tracks LLEN also delivers additional programs under Contract/MOU/Agreement with other funding bodies.

Reporting Relationships
This role operates within a matrix structure where there is a common reporting line to the CEO of NE Tracks LLEN and to the Program Coordinator delivering the Ovens Murray VET Cluster .
Contractual Period
From appointment until 31/12/2026. A further term may be offered in line with the requirements of the business at the conclusion of the initial term, subject to satisfactory performance and contract renewals/continuation providing funding for the position.
This is a part time position 0.5 FTE or 19 hours per week with flexibility to agree hours of work from Tuesday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday where hours are spread over 4 days. Other arrangements may also be considered subject to agreement. The position is based in Wangaratta. Work from home arrangements are not generally available as the position includes office reception and meeting room support functions. Where special circumstances arise, work from home arrangements may be agreed to meet short term needs subject to agreement and business needs.
Office hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (negotiation of varied start and finish times available) with flexibility/time in lieu to allow for participation in meetings and functions that may occur outside scheduled working hours in order to fulfil the duties of the role.

Salary Arrangements
Conditions of employment are aligned to the State Government Agencies Administration Award as the benchmark in relation to employment conditions. Annual salary is negotiated on appointment and reviewed annually. The position is designated Grade 2 Level D 0.5 FTE $29.73 per hour plus 12% superannuation and annual leave loading.
Duration
Fixed Term to 31 December 2026, with potential for extension pending funding approval
Key Selection Criteria
1. Experience in administration functions within an office setting would be highly regarded.
2. Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a small team environment and to work independently when required, to be flexible and agile supporting organisational objectives. Able to collaborate within the team, share information and accommodate the different working styles of others.
3. Demonstrated experience in the preparation of emails and other correspondence using clear, concise and grammatically correct language
4. Demonstrated high level of computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office suite applications, CANVA and Website maintenance (WIX)
5. Familiarity with SharePoint highly regarded but not essential.
6. Knowledge of vocational education & training, employment and transition issues relating to youth and secondary age students desirable but not essential.

· Coordinates appointments and meetings for colleagues and committees, setting and distributing agendas, distributing meeting papers and taking accurate minutes where required.
