About the role

Possums Early Learning Centre is seeking a driven and passionate individual to join our team as a Cert 3 Trainee in Early Childhood Education and Care. This is a full-time position based in Wagga Wagga, NSW. You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to the children in our centre, while also completing your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

What you'll be doing

Providing a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years

Implementing engaging educational programs and activities that support the cognitive, physical, social and emotional development of children

Observing and documenting children's learning and development

Building positive relationships with children, families and the wider community

Assisting with the general operations of the centre, such as meal preparation and maintaining a clean, hygienic environment

Completing your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care through on-the-job training

What we're looking for

A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to their wellbeing

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Enthusiasm for learning and a willingness to complete your Certificate III qualification

A current Working with Children Check or the ability to obtain one
