The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer/Technical Representative to expand our customer base while providing expert technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in safety guarding and automated machinery markets

Build and maintain strong customer relationships as the primary technical contact

Assess customer requirements and provide sound engineering recommendations

Design conceptual solutions for safety guarding and automation challenges

Conduct site visits and technical assessments

Document activities and opportunities in a crm system.

Achieve sales targets and prepare detailed quotations

Collaborate with engineering team to develop custom solutions

Assist in project delivery by liaising with all stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

Technical Background: Engineering degree OR trade qualification in relevant field (mechanical, electrical, industrial automation)

Sales Experience: Minimum 3+ years in technical sales, preferably in industrial automation or safety equipment

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and automation technologies

Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences

Relationship Building: Proven track record of successful customer relationships

Results-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets

Location: Melbourne-based with willingness to travel as required

Highly Regarded

Experience with robotic systems and integration

Knowledge of Australian safety standards (AS4024 series)

Manufacturing or industrial environment experience

CAD software familiarity
