The Opportunity
We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our Kalgoorlie-based team. This permanent, full-time role reports to the Accountant and is responsible for managing the entire payroll process for 200+ employees across our Australia-wide operations.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys full ownership of the payroll function, with the chance to develop their skills in a diverse and hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process end-to-end fortnightly payroll for over 200 employees

Interpret awards and enterprise agreements accurately

Manage PAYG, superannuation, and payroll tax lodgements

Maintain and reconcile employee payroll records

Complete end-of-month payroll tasks and reporting

Provide administrative support across finance and HR

About You
You’re proactive and eager to grow, with a genuine interest in expanding your career in payroll and business administration. You have strong attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, and understand the importance of meeting deadlines. With a background in finance or administration, you’re confident working with numbers and systems, and you’re ready to take on a role that offers full ownership and broader responsibility.

You’ll also bring:

Essential:

High level of accuracy and confidentiality

Excellent time management and communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office programs

Current “C” Class Driver’s Licence

Preferred:

At least 2 years’ experience in a payroll or finance administration role

Qualification in Payroll, Accounting, Administration or a related field

Experience in mining, construction, or blue-collar environments
