About The Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Machine/Key Operator (Team Lead), to join the Priestley’s family. You will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring that our baking machinery operates smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining equipment, conducting quality checks, and ensuring that production meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate various baking machines, including ovens, mixers, and conveyors, according to production schedules and specifications.

Oversee the production process to ensure machines are functioning correctly and products meet quality standards.

Conduct regular quality checks on products, ingredients, and machinery to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.

Identify and troubleshoot any issues or malfunctions with machinery, performing basic repairs or adjustments as needed.

Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine performance, and any incidents or issues encountered during your shift.

Provide direction to employees working on the line in respect of task completion, hygiene, quality and safety.

Train new staff, and perform training on new or revised procedures, or new/changed regulations, according to the requirements stated in the CGMP and as per the organisation’s SOPs, ensuring training records are signed off.

About You:

Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment (required), preferably in the baking industry (highly desirable).

Strong understanding of machine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality products.

Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a manufacturing setting.

Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a diverse team.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Physically fit (with the ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment).
