We make and deliver an extensive range of fresh sandwiches, wraps, and other convenience food to service stations, supermarkets, hospitals and other food service providers.

The Role

This role involves ensuring that production quality assurance processes are in place and complied with and that records are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Assign location of production staff during production

Ensure that all production staff comply with the company dress code

Ensure that all FTG procedures, specification and policies are adhered to at all times

Communicate with staff to ensure that all relevant information is relayed effectively and consistently

Ensure all customer deadlines and specifications are met at all times and notify of any exceptions

Ensure products are being made according to their recipes/specifications

Check that all ingredients and packaging has been stored in correct location and in an orderly fashion

Ensure labels are correct, accurate and up to date

Carry out daily quality GMP checks

Ensure lines are set up and sanitised

Ensure cleanliness of factory and office at end of day

Ensure belts and floor are cleaned and food put away and rubbish removed at regular intervals and before breaks

Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications

Proven ability to lead and coach team members

The ability to provide clear orders and instructions to team members

Must have food processing experience, machine operating and knife skills

Must be comfortable working in a cold environment

The ability to have initiative to seek out work with limited directions

Strong attention to detail

Knowledge of hygiene, and food safety procedures as well as HACCP principles and procedures

Knowledge of quality assurance systems and continuous improvement principles

Proven time management skills

Develop continuous improvement projects, and see them through to completion

Be committed, reliable with a strong work ethic
