Shire of Mundaring is seeking a dedicated and skilled Governance Officer to join our team. This full-time position is instrumental in ensuring the Shire complies with all relevant legislation, its Governance Framework and Risk policies.

As Governance Officer you will be required to:

· provide governance support and advice to the CEO, Council, Executive Leadership Team and staff on legislative matters, local laws, policies and procedures
· support, monitor and improve the Shire’s governance framework, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
· manage and review statutory registers, internal governance registers and the corporate compliance calendar
· support and oversee continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring measurable outcomes and alignment with organisational priorities
· assist with the conduct of local government elections
· manage and review the Shire’s policies and procedures.
