As the business continues to grow through innovation, strong values and a commitment to workplace health, safety, and wellbeing, they have an exciting opportunity for a HSE Business Partner to join their team, based in Canberra.
About the Role
Reporting to the Regional HSE Manager, this is a high-impact, autonomous role overseeing operations across 14 sites in the Canberra region. You’ll work closely with site leaders and employees to embed a strong safety culture, drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and internal systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with frontline managers and regional leaders to build WHS capability;
- Leading and supporting ICAM investigations and risk mitigation strategies;
- Monitoring WHS performance and identifying trends through data analysis;
- Driving the implementation of the organisation’s WHS Management System;
- Facilitating training, audits and assurance activities; and
- Supporting injury management and RTW coordination where required.
About You
We are seeking a WHS professional who brings:
- Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety (minimum Diploma);
- ICAM Lead Investigator certification;
- At least 5 years’ WHS experience in a multi-site, operational environment;
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and safety management systems;
- The ability to coach, influence and engage stakeholders at all levels;
- A proactive, pragmatic approach and strong problem-solving skills; and
- A current driver’s licence and flexibility to travel across regional sites.
