About the role
We are seeking an energetic, focused and dynamic marketing professional that brings expertise in both traditional and digital media. This role is suited to an enthusiastic and innovative professional who is looking to excel in their career and utilise their marketing and communication expertise. Reporting to the Executive Manager, Marketing and Development, you will assist in a variety of day-to-day tasks, working closely with other teams to achieve mutually rewarding goals.
This role requires a dependable and organised individual with initiative and attention to detail. The position will contribute to the growth of the business by supporting the Trust’s corporate image as well as enhancing membership and tourism through the implementation of marketing strategies.
Your responsibilities will include:
Research, identify and develop content for multiple owned digital channels
Overseeing and managing social media channels including planning and scheduling of content
Communication and campaign coordination
Coordinating the measurement, RIO and reach of marketing opportunities
Writing of content for publications, online and media
Website development and management, including updating pages, online listings etc
Taking ownership of the marketing and promotion of the National Trust event calendar
Marketing and promotion for our properties through various online and print media outlets
Assisting with launches, promotions and activities at properties
Provide media, PR communications and marketing support to grow the Trust’s commercial brand
Working together with other teams to coordinate the effective promotion of Trust places and products
Assisting our Graphic designer with production coordination of all internally created collateral
Managing the development processes of advertising, collateral and the brand with external stakeholders
Implementing processes and systems to enable greater productivity and information sharing
Providing marketing support to managers of key commercial sites and across the organisation
Negotiating with media/agencies for best advertising rates and value-add exposure
Engaging with industry stakeholders, media and National Trust employees to leverage partnership opportunities
General marketing administration
About you
You will have a digital mindset, be business savvy, pragmatic and have experience in a similar role. You have a proven ability to multitask, your efficiency will see you thrive. You will be highly motivated, energetic, work well with others and a self-starter. Interpersonal communication and collaboration skills will be pivotal in our decision for this role. You will also have:
Tertiary qualification in marketing and/or marketing experience.
Sound understanding of marketing process and demonstrated track record in successfully creating and implementing marketing campaigns
Demonstrated strategic thinking, planning and analytical skills.
Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal), problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Experience managing website content, eDM’s and social media
Proven coordination and leadership skills within the work environment
Understanding of the production processes related to printing and publishing
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload, time management skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and company associations with a genuine commitment to customer service
Team player and establishes relationships with stakeholders easily.
Ability to appropriately allocate given resources to programs and daily activities and multi-task
Self-motivated and proactive with a track record of high performance and success
Computer skills including: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, MS project or similar); and understanding of printing, photo, publishing and website technology
Bonus points if:
You have previous experience or interest in working for the non-profit sector
You have experience with WordPress / Website management
You have video production or editing experience
