About Us
East Coast Apprenticeships (ECA) is a long-standing Group Training Organisation with over 35 years' experience supporting apprentices and trainees across Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay. We’ve placed more than 10,000 young people into trade careers, working closely with schools, RTOs and industry.

We’re focused on strengthening our GTO model and creating clear, supported pathways for apprentices and trainees. With demand growing, we’re expanding our team to meet the needs of more employers across Brisbane Metro.

About the Role
As a Business Development Officer, you will be the link between our apprentices and the businesses that host them. You will:

Grow and maintain strong relationships with Host Employers

Identify new placement opportunities for apprentices and trainees

Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful job matching

Represent ECA at events and business forums

Stay ahead of industry needs to advise and support workforce planning

This is a field-based role with a high level of autonomy, ideal for someone confident, driven and people-focused.

What You’ll Bring

Proven experience in business development, account management or sales

Solid understanding of the vocational education and training (VET) sector

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities

Current drivers licence and Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
