Our client is a highly regarded government organisation with a strong reputation across New South Wales. They have a dynamic, close-knit team and are currently seeking a Payroll Analyst to support a key salary review project across the organisation.

The successful candidate must be available to commence immediately and will have proven experience working with the iChris system, particularly in backend configuration to implement payroll adjustments.

This is a hybrid contract role based in Sydney CBD, running through to the end of October 2025.

The Job...
During this exciting Payroll Analyst contract, you will be responsible for:

• Managing and implementing salary increases and superannuation changes in alignment with requirements.
• Ensuring all updates are correctly configured within the iChris system, including backend configuration and data exchange processes.
• Assisting with the organisation’s Working With Children Check (WWCC) compliance project, ensuring records are accurately maintained and updated.
• Collaborating with key internal stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of payroll changes into broader HR and finance systems.
• Conducting data audits and quality checks to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with industrial instruments and government requirements.
• Supporting change management processes and providing technical input into payroll-related system improvements.

To be successful in this Payroll Analyst role, you must have experience in the following:

• Previous experience working on payroll projects, particularly involving salary adjustments, superannuation changes, and compliance updates.
• Proven hands-on experience with iChris (system-side) including backend configuration and managing data exchanges is essential.
• Experience with Preceda is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation, enterprise agreements, and statutory requirements in the public sector.
• Ability to work autonomously on complex system changes, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
