About the role

We are seeking motivated and skilled Trades Assistants to join our team as we expand our operations and scope of works. As a Trades Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our trades professionals in the delivery of our building projects. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development within our dynamic organisation. Projects include: solar rooftop installations; landscaping and furniture installations at schools; construction of sensory pods and small building renovation projects. Experience in building/ construction or solar installation is preferred. Proficiency with a variety of hand tools is essential.

What you'll be doing

Assisting trades professionals with a variety of tasks, including equipment preparation, material handling, and site clean-up

Providing support to ensure the efficient and safe completion of installation and building works

Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored and maintained

Following all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues

Participating and contributing ideas to improve processes and workflows

Undertaking additional duties as required to support the successful delivery of our projects

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Trades Assistant or similar in the building, construction or electrical field

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately

Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

A high level of initiative and the ability to self start when required

A valid driver's licence
