Finishers Foreman - 6-Week Contract

Our client, a leading independent construction company are currently seeking an experienced Finishers Foreman to join the team on a short-term contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected Tier 2 builder known for delivering high-end, technically complex projects across the residential and commercial sectors.

This role will involve the final delivery stage of a multi-storey apartment residential refurbishment project in Southerland Shire, with completion required before new residents move in this October.

Role Responsibilities

As the Finishers Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the final delivery phase of the project. Your focus will be on quality, detail, and ensuring all final trades and rectification works are completed to a high standard and on schedule.

Your key tasks will include:

• Managing finishing trades (tilers, waterproofers, painters, etc.)
• Conducting detailed defect walks and coordinating rectifications
• Ensuring quality control of all finishing works
• Coordinating waterproofing and sealing works
• Overseeing final clean-up and site demobilisation
• Liaising with site management, consultants, and client-side stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with WHS and site safety protocols

Candidate Requirements

We're looking for someone practical, proactive, and committed to quality. You will be working with limited time and need to hit the ground running.

• Trade-qualified carpenter or highly skilled handyman
• Demonstrated experience in finishing/detailing across multi-residential projects
• Strong eye for detail and commitment to workmanship
• Ability to manage subcontractors and push jobs through to completion
• Confident communication and stakeholder coordination skills
• Can-do attitude, reliability, and initiative
• Available to commence immediately
