Equine Farm Foreman. Opportunity to join a growing farm who are passionate about the education and wellbeing of the horses in our care. The successful applicant must have previous horse handling experience, good observation and communication skills, be reliable and be able to administer medications. Riding experience would be a great advantage.

Situated in Kulnura on the sunny NSW Central Coast, close to local beaches and parks. Accomodation available in our modern staff house.

We offer a varied work environment to grow professionally at a well maintained equine boarding and training establishment. The successful applicant would be expected to assume the duties of the Farm Manager during her absences and the minimum contract commitment will be 6 months.

Duties include:

Reporting to the Farm Manager the foreman will assist and train stable hands, and maintenance workers, and staff riders

Organise feed runs and mixing feeds,

Assist with the vet, farrier and chiropractor.

Checking health and well-being of horses and their medications and treatments

Checking the rugging horses as needed

Assist and train grooming and tacking up the pre-trainers.

Handling mares, foals, weanlings, yearlings and the race horses.

Be able to drive injured horses to hospital if needed and mare walk outs when trucks are not available
