ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE OFFICER

Duration: Temp (approximately 8-12 weeks)

Hours: 3 days per week 9am to 4pm (either Mon-Wed or Tues-Thurs)

Location: Darra, Qld 4076

Rate: $37-45 per hour (depending on experience)

The Role: You will play a key role in managing the company's receivables, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, whilst maintaining positive relationships with clients. Your attention to detail, communication skills, and persistence will help keep cash flow strong and customer accounts in good standing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage accounts receivable ledger
• Contact clients via phone, email, and written correspondence to follow up on overdue payments
• Negotiate payment arrangements and resolve disputes professionally
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and communications
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing issues
• Prepare regular reports on ageing debt and collection performance
• Escalate delinquent accounts for legal action when necessary
• Ensure compliance with relevant credit and collections policies

Criteria:

• Proven experience in accounts receivable, debt collection, or credit control
• Certificate IV in Accounting or Bookkeeping (preferred but not essential)
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and ethical collection practices
• FULL Australian Working Rights
