Bold Park Aquatic

Bold Park Aquatic Centre aims to provide a safe and friendly aquatic environment with its programmes and services accessible to a diverse range of patrons. It consists of a 10 lane 50m pool and a semi-enclosed leisure pool which includes four 20m lanes, open all year round.

The Role

Dive into a dynamic role as Bold Park Aquatic’s Senior Programs Officer and take the lead on coordinating and implementing all aspects of the Centre’s Programs, including the Swim Academy and other fitness related programs, activities and events. As a key member of the Bold Park Aquatic management team, you will be involved with staff supervision, financial monitoring and ensuring the continuing excellence of Bold Park’s programs. Selection Criteria

The successful candidate’s core values will mirror the Town’s values of Friendly and helpful, Teamwork, Creativity, Integrity, and Respect, and be able to demonstrate the following:

Demonstrated experience in researching, developing, marketing, implementing and evaluating programs that meet community needs.

Sound working knowledge of occupational safety and health requirements as they relate to the job, including aquatic safety and rescue techniques.

Well demonstrated people leadership abilities to achieve high productivity and deliver services in line with organisational values, standards and policies.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that are adaptable to a range of different audiences.

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while managing competing priorities and deadlines.

Eligibility

Right to work in Australia (birth certificate, current passport or current visa).

Current Applied First Aid Certificate

Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate

Working with Children Check;

Austswim Teacher of Swimming and Water safety.

Current National Police Clearance (no older than 3 months)

Relevant tertiary qualification in Leisure Sciences or equivalent (desirable)

Aquarobics Instructor certification (desirable)

AUSTSWIM Teacher of Infant and Pre-school aquatics, or other Austswim extensions courses (desirable)
