We are seeking a proactive, clinically confident Lead Nurse to join our dynamic team at the Hobart Urgent Care Clinic (HUCC) in a permanent part-time capacity. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for a nurse with strong triage expertise, a passion for patient-centred care, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Our Hobart Urgent Care Clinic operates 7 days a week, from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, including public holidays. In this role, you’ll be supported by our experienced Casual Nurse Triage Pool and work closely with our Clinical Lead to ensure smooth and safe patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Triaging and managing a wide range of urgent presentations

Overseeing patient flow and ensuring clinical coordination

Supporting minor procedures and plastering

Mentoring and onboarding new nurses

Maintaining essential registers (OH&S, incidents, infection control)

Ensuring accurate and timely clinical documentation

Assisting with rostering and clinical stock control

Collaborating with the Clinical Lead and broader care team

What we’re looking for:

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

Strong triage experience in urgent care, ED or primary care

Calm, organised and proactive approach to clinical leadership

Excellent communication and team-building skills

Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and public holidays
