ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of existing builder and contractor accounts across Sydney. This role is ideal for someone who understands the residential construction cycle and can confidently manage technical sales conversations, site visits, quoting, and follow-through to installation. While the role is hybrid (home-based and mobile), you’ll also attend occasional meetings at the Inner West head office.

You’ll be backed by a strong internal estimating and customer service team and benefit from an expansive CRM with hundreds of existing customer contacts and untapped sales potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and grow a territory of builders, developers, and subcontractors, nurturing existing relationships while identifying aligned new business opportunities
  • Interpret architectural drawings, plans, and elevations to prepare accurate window and door schedules, quantities, and specifications
  • Conduct site measure-ups and inspections, feeding technical information back to estimating, scheduling, and installation teams
  • Present and quote a diverse range of window and door configurations, offering expert guidance on energy ratings, BAL compliance, and installation limitations
  • Manage end-to-end sales process, including CRM pipeline updates, quote follow-ups, contract negotiations, and site handover coordination
  • Provide accurate reporting and forecasting, communicating opportunities, risks, and feedback to management
  • Liaise cross-functionally with internal design, operations, and factory teams to ensure seamless delivery on projects
  • Deliver on monthly and quarterly sales KPIs, focusing on both revenue generation and gross margin protection

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Prior B2B sales experience in the construction sector – ideally in aluminium joinery, glazing, building materials, architectural products, or similar
  • Proven experience reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings
  • Understanding of residential construction timelines, with a consultative and solutions-based sales approach
  • Self-driven, with strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Valid Australian driver’s licence and full work rights
