Little Steps Therapies is a well-established Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy clinic supporting children, adolescents, and their families. We’re celebrating our 7th birthday with exciting growth: the opening of our brand-new Thornleigh clinic in September 2025!

An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, forward thinking receptionist who enjoys working in a busy, vibrant and growing practice with all its systems and procedures in place.

Responsibilities
• Reception duties - meeting and greeting of clients and families, answering the phone.
• Monitor and action emails.
• Responding to client enquiries and questions with a solid understanding of the company policies.
• Arrange and manage appointments in the booking system, liaise closely with clinicians regarding their schedules.
• Processing Eftpos, Credit Card and HICAPS Payments.
• Process Medicare and NDIS claims, liaise with NDIS Plan Managers.
• Reconciliation of accounts receivable.
• Manage daily paperwork for accurate record keeping.
• Keeping the clinic neat and tidy.
• Responsible for ordering necessary office supplies and ensuring stock level is maintained.
Required Skills
• Professional presentation and approach to work.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy at all times.
• Strong understanding of Medicare, HICAPS and NDIS billing & claims.
• Ability to function in a fast paced, highly organised and time efficient manner at all times.
• High level computer experience with Halaxy, Microsoft Office and Excel Spreadsheets.
• Outstanding people skills with the ability to relate well to patients, health care professionals and team members.
• Highly accountable and responsible.
• Bubbly and able to bring a positive energy into the workplace.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
• A minimum of 2 years' demonstrated experience in a allied health reception and/ or administration role is essential. Applicants without this experience will not be considered.
• Experience working in an NDIS registered practice is desirable.
Full training and support will be provided to the successful applicant.
