About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Aceit Concrete as an experienced Concrete finisher/ Leading Hand. As our local family business on Kangaroo Island grows rapidly, we are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, experienced and skilled Concrete finisher/Leading Hand to join our young easy going crew. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in the successful delivery of our projects while ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency and have some fun along the way.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and coordinate the activities of the concrete crew, including task allocation, set up, pour and finish along with quality control

Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and industry standards

Provide hands-on support and guidance to the concrete crew, demonstrating proper techniques and best practices

Liaise with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution

Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the concrete pouring and finishing process

Assist in the training and development of less experienced team members

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Concrete finisher/leading hand role in the construction industry

Strong knowledge of reading plans, form work, pouring, finishing, as well as being professional, safe and enthusiastic

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team

Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to address challenges and find practical solutions

Familiarity with construction project management principles and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deadlines

A valid driver's licence
