Backfill Fixed Term Position
ac.care is seeking a Clinical Practice Lead (OOHC) to be a pivotal role within ac.care, focusing on providing guidance, supervision, and clinical support to staff involved in the care of children and young people in Out of Home Care. This position involves working collaboratively with all OOHC programs to ensure the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed care that promotes the wellbeing and development of the children and young people under our care. The Clinical Practice Lead serves as a mentor, coach, and resource, empowering staff to enhance their practice and create nurturing and therapeutic environments. As part of this you will:
Provide effective Clinical Supervision and oversight aligned to OOHC Program requirements ensuring reflective practice in both a group and individual setting
Draft reports and undertake evaluation on service delivery in consultation with program staff, utilising data available, client or carer stories and performance trends, best practices, and opportunities for improvement.
Developing and implementing appropriate measures including performance indicators to analyse and evaluate service delivery
Ensure that carers and children and young people in care are consulted and supported with appropriate behaviour strategies and plans by providing clinical consultation to complex and high needs Foster Care and Residential Care placements.
Ensure all documentation meets organisational, legislative and funding requirements by completing and maintaining appropriate client documentation, reporting and statistical information.

Current SA driver’s licence ‘Class C’ or interstate equivalent.
Current Satisfactory Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain in accordance with ac.care policy.
Valid National Police Check
Child Safe Environment Certificate or willingness to obtain in accordance with ac.care policy.
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
Relevant qualifications, skills and/or experience in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
Excellent assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clients from diverse backgrounds and facilitate therapeutic relationships.
Demonstrated capacity to lead and manage in an area of challenging and complex practice.
Substantial experience in the area of child abuse and/or in working with traumatised children.
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and direct service in the clinical assessment and treatment of children, young people, and families.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, motivate, and empower staff at all levels.
Highly Regarded
Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families and communities.
Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
