$37.91 - 42.62 Per Hour Year Plus Super

As a Support Services Learner Assistant, you'll provide vital support to students with disabilities, medical, mental health conditions, or learning disabilities, helping them overcome barriers to their education. Your efforts will ensure that these students have the tools and confidence to succeed, from using specialised equipment to offering tailored one-on-one assistance.
You'll foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages all students to achieve their goals and foster a person-centred approach to support, ensuring that safety, independence, and academic integrity are always maintained.
Selected Duties:
Deliver individualised support to students facing a range of challenges.
Assist with participation in classes, offering one-on-one tutoring and physical assistance where necessary to meet specific needs.
Facilitate student success by identifying learning barriers and helping develop personalised strategies to promote independence and growth.
Provide regular progress reports to ensure students are on track with their individual learning goals and adjustments.
Offer guidance on accessing essential IT systems, including Microsoft Office, Moodle, library services, and assistive technologies.
ABOUT YOU
Skills & Experience

A Diploma Qualification in Disability, education support or community services and / or extensive experience working in the disability sector or a suitable combination of lesser qualifications and relevant experience.
Drivers Licence.
IT Skills, MS Office Suite.
Experience with on-line learning platforms e.g. Moodle.
Desirable: Experience with and / or understanding of Assistive Technology.
