About the role

As a Warehouse Coordinator at VFV Pty Ltd., you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our state-of-the-art distribution centre in Mitcham, VIC.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this full-time position will see you oversee the day-to-day activities within the warehouse including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, cleaning, reporting, and ongoing improvements.

What you'll be doing

Coordinate and supervise the workflow and activities of the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing goods

Implement and maintain effective warehouse management systems and procedures to optimise productivity and efficiency

Oversee the receiving, putaway, picking, packing and dispatch of products

Identify opportunities for process improvements and work closely with the management team to implement changes

Provide training, mentoring and support to warehouse operatives to develop their skills and capabilities

Ensure all warehouse activities adhere to relevant health, safety and quality standards

Work with the other departments to support Production, Quality, Sales and Commercial related activities.

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse coordination or supervisory role, preferably within the life science / GMP warehouse environment.

Strong working knowledge of warehouse management systems and best practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team

Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to optimise warehouse operations

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting

Forklift licence and experience operating warehouse equipment is highly desirable

Able to regularly lift up to 20kg and remain standing/walking for extended periods
