We are a tight-knit and committed team and as the business continues to expand we are now looking for an experienced draftsperson to join the business.

Responsibilities

This position would suit someone who can work independently, but also enjoys being part of a team. The work is interesting and may vary dependent on the project.

The role would prepare engineering design drawings and construction shop drawings for various structural and non-structural projects in accordance with the relevant guidelines, standards and codes of practice, with minimal supervision. You could be designing various pallet racking solutions, mezzanine floors, office fit outs or cold storage facilities.

Carry out site inspections and measurements when required.

Contribute to the development, maintenance and improvement of job management processes and systems within the company.

Liaising with consultants, engineers and other stake holders for projects

Requirements

MUST have demonstrable experience in your field - ideally a VBA registered draftsperson

High level of competency in AutoCad

Minimum 2 years of local experience in commercial, industrial and residential building projects.

Experience in the use of 3D Modelling with Tekla and Revit software would be considered advantageous.

Knowledge of structural steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry and Australian Design Standards relevant to building/structural engineering.

Ability to read and understand Architectural & Engineering drawings and fabrication process.

Have an eye for detail and pride in your work

Be able to work in a team environment

Be reliable, punctual, highly motivated & and be able to work unsupervised
