About the Role
This exciting and newly created role includes four key components:
Delivering counselling services in schools
Providing a locum school counselling service within reasonable travel
Designing bespoke therapeutic programs and interventions
Supporting counsellors and leading practice through supervision and mentorship
You will provide expert therapeutic services to students, families, and educators, and support the Clinical Lead with program design, research, and strategic implementation.
Your Key Contributions
Lead and deliver individual and group counselling for students
Respond to school crises with timely, effective support
Design and deliver targeted mental health and wellbeing programs
Mentor and support school counsellors through supervision and guidance
Build strong partnerships with school communities
Support a consultative, trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach
What You will Bring
A recognised qualification in psychology, social work, or mental health
Eligibility with AHPRA, AASW, or PACFA
Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or community setting
A passion for therapeutic innovation and collaboration
Experience in supervision (or willingness to pursue qualification)
Commitment to child safety, wellbeing, and ethical practice
