Location: Bathurst / Orange (Multiple Sites)
Hourly Rate: $58.81

About the Role
As Team Leader, you will lead a team of school counsellors across primary and high/central schools within the Diocese. You will play a vital role in the ongoing support and clinical supervision of your team, respond to critical incidents, and help shape the direction of a well-established wellbeing program.
As part of the SWP Leadership Team, your leadership will directly influence positive outcomes for students and ensure the wellbeing of both your team and the school communities they serve.
Key Responsibilities
Provide responsive leadership and support to your team of school counsellors
Deliver clinical supervision and oversight of day-to-day operations
Coordinate and respond to critical incidents and crises in school settings
Collaborate with the SWP Manager and Clinical Lead on performance, recruitment, and development
Ensure high-quality, ethical service delivery aligned with current legislation and best practice
Foster strong relationships with school communities and key stakeholders
About You
You are an experienced leader with a background in mental health, education, or social work and a passion for making a difference in the lives of children and young people.
You will bring:
- A warm, collaborative, and solutions-focused leadership style
- Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, counselling, or related field
- Eligibility for membership/registration with AHPRA, AASW, or PACFA
- Experience in clinical supervision or willingness to obtain
- Proven ability to lead, mentor and manage multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of the education sector, developmental psychology and child protection legislation
