About the role

We have an exciting and rewarded support opportunity to share with you. Located in Chester Hill, you will be part of a 24/7 care team to support a young male with Nemaline Rod Myopathy. You will provide full assistance with personal cares, medication administration, feeding assistance, and many other duties. An extensive onboarding program will be provided with buddy shifts to help you with your transition.

Your key responsibilities

Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker who can undertake the following key responsibilities:

• Personal Cares
• Pressure Area Care and Skin Integrity Support
• Oral Suctioning Experience
• Enteral Feeding
• Non-Invasive Ventilation
• Medication Administration
• Communication and Play
• Manual Handling Including Repositioning & Transfers
• General Household Tasks
• Organisation of Stock and Ordering

About you

To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

• Certificate III in Individual Support or above (Relevant care certificates may also be considered)
• Specific Disability / Complex Care Experience (Minimum 2 years experience)
• Manual handling certificate and experience (Essential)
• Medication Administration Certificate (Essential)
• Paediatric Care Experience (Desired)
• Experience With Clients Using Non-Invasive Ventilation (Desired)
• Current First aid and CPR
• Yellow Card/NDIS Worker's Screening Check
• NDIS Orientation Module
• Working With Children Check

We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client-focused.
