iVirtus Care, an established organisation that is undergoing a recruitment drive in response to industry demand for Complex Disability Support Workers with sound applied experience in Tracheostomy/ Ventilation Management, Epilepsy Management, Intellectual Disability, Acquired Brain Injury, behavioural support management, and other neurological/ physical disabilities.

Currently recruiting for several vacancies in Roselands and surrounding suburbs for an IMMEDIATE START. You must be available and flexible to be incorporated within an existing functional roster that spans across morning, afternoon and over-night (active) shifts.

Our team is seeking experienced, highly passionate and committed disability support workers/ nurses that are not only participant centric, but are also goal driven, self-motivated, proactive, and driven to contribute positively and compassionately to the care and supports of others to optimise the individuals quality of life.

As a successful applicant you MUST have the following as a minimum requirement.

Valid Driver’s License & your own road safe vehicle

Valid National Police Check

Valid Working with Children check

Current First Aid & CPR Certificate

NDIS Workers Screening Clearance

Minimum of Diploma in Disability Support, Aged Care support, Community Services or ideally Nursing qualifications

All updated NDIS certifications as per NDIS Quality and Safeguards website

Minimum 4yrs applied continuous experience in supporting participants with highly complex clinical care needs - such as PEG Feeding, ventilation/ oxygen/ tracheostomy management, complex bowel management, catheter care, ileostomy care, clinical and palliative care and complex epilepsy management.

LOW LEVEL CARE

Personal Care – Showering, grooming, and attending to all needs that optimise all personal hygiene.

Meal preparation

General Domestic Assistance

Community Access & participation

Medication assistance through prompting and monitoring

Manual Handling, wheelchair assistance

MED – HIGH LEVEL CARE

Extensive tracheostomy and ventilation care

Medication administration

Diabetes Management – Insulin injections, Blood glucose monitoring and management, Diet Management

Epilepsy/ Seizure Management

Bowel Care, Catheter care, colostomy/ Ileostomy care

Peg /Tube Feeding

Managing Challenging behaviours

Extensive manual Handling using Slings, Lifters, Hoists, pelican belts, slide sheets/ boards

Currently recruiting multiple vacancies in the following locations.

Roselands – (Active overnight shifts with some day cover - morning and afternoon.)

Roselands - (Weekday - spanning across morning, and afternoon/ evening shifts available)

Roselands - Potentially weekend shifts maybe required however not on-going.

If successful, you will be allocated on-going shifts as part of rotating rosters with on-going career development support. Must be available for minimum 4hr shifts. All vacancies are for Casual with the opportunity to transition to Permanent Part Time.
