We require committed support workers, living close to Appin for a variety of shift durations including short afternoon shifts, day shifts and some weekend hours.

Our Participant prefers Female* Support Workers.

The role is within a family home in Appin and will include interaction with family members, with a professional yet homely approach.

Our Participant is wonderfully creative, enjoying puzzles, board games, crafts, watching movies and spending time at the beach, so an interest in these areas is an advantage.

Our rosters are published 4 weeks in advance, and we value committed and loyal staff.

Essential Requirements:

• Cert III or higher in Disability/Community Services/Individual Support or related field
• Demonstrated experience, knowledge and understanding of people living with disabilities
• Experience providing respectful supports within a person's home
• Experience providing personal care including showering, dressing, toileting, oral hygiene etc.
• Experience in supporting people with mobility aids

Highly Desirable:

• Demonstrated experience, knowledge and understanding of people with acquired injury who have high physical support needs

Plus (mandatory):

• Relevant qualifications/certificates eg. Cert III, Cert IV in Disability
• NDIS Worker Clearance Check
• NDIS Orientation Module Certificate
• Work Rights
• Driver's Licence / Full Comprehensive Car Insurance (Not CTP)
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Current CPR Certificate
• Infection Control Training Certificate
• Manual Handling Training Certificate
• Food Handling Training Certificate
