The Role

We are now seeking a driven Assistant Accountant based at Mount Lofty Estate reporting to the Group CFO.

To be successful in securing this role you will be tertiary qualified and have extensive working knowledge of accounting procedures and a burning ambition to make a measurable difference and succeed. You are unique and success focused and the right fit to join one of Australia's most unique and outstanding offerings.

The successful applicant will :

Manage the accounts payable function from end to end

Manage the accounts receivable function from end to end

Prepare daily bank reconciliations

Monitor internal controls and report any deficiencies

Have strong attention to detail and be able to work efficiently

Ensure accurate accounting practices are followed

Ensure deliveries to the property are securely stored and inventory receipted

Financial analysis

Support departments with controlling expenditure

Count & prepare banking deposits

Be a true hospitality professional dedicated to providing authentic customer service and be flexible in your approach to resolve issues

Full working rights in Australia

Have a full drivers licence & access to a vehicle

Report to the Estate Financial Controller and Group CFO

Skills & Experience:

• Qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

• Experience working in a hotel finance department

• Strong knowledge of Hotel systems and procedures, Point of Sales, accounting, purchasing and inventory systems

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
