Be the Leader who Helps Rebuild Lives
Are you ready to lead a team that changes lives — one conversation, one session, one safe space at a time?
We’re looking for a compassionate and empowering Team Leader to guide our Domestic & Family Violence Therapeutic Team. In this role, you’ll not only work therapeutically with children, young people, and adults impacted by DFV — you’ll shape the services that support their healing.
You’ll lead with heart and strategy, ensuring best practice while creating a culture of resilience, accountability, and empowerment across the team.
If you’re a therapeutic practitioner with strong leadership instincts and a passion for working with communities, this is your chance to lead frontline impact.
About Us
For over 30 years, DVNQ has been a cornerstone of community safety and support in Townsville. We’re a charity committed to evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches — and we care deeply about the rights, safety, and dignity of victim-survivors.
Our values — Integrity, Compassion, Advocacy, Innovation, Collaboration — drive everything we do. We invest in our people because we know this work is meaningful, complex, and life-changing.
🔍 About the Role
As Team Leader, you’ll:
Provide operational leadership and support to a team of therapeutic practitioners
Deliver direct counselling and therapeutic services to women, children, and young people impacted by DFV
Coordinate group programs, service delivery and reporting

Collaborate with leadership to shape strategic, inclusive outcomes
This is a unique opportunity to combine practice and leadership, in a role where your voice, decisions, and actions directly contribute to healing and systemic change.
